The Quest 2 is a virtual reality (VR) headset developed by Reality Labs, a division of Facebook, Inc. (now Meta Platforms). It was unveiled on September 16, 2020, and released on October 13 as the Oculus Quest 2. It was then rebranded as the Meta Quest 2 in 2022, as part of a company-wide phase-out of the Oculus brand after the rebranding of Facebook, Inc. as Meta. The Quest 2 received mostly positive reviews as an incremental update to the Quest, but some of its changes faced criticism, including its stock head strap, reduced interpupillary distance (IPD) options, and a new requirement for users to log in with a Facebook account to use the headset and Oculus services.

The biggest selling point here is the fact it uses a wireless design and an internal processor, with no need to tether to a powerful console or PC in order to play VR games. Not only does this make the headset more accessible to the masses, but also lowers the overall required cost. And while fierce rivals have appeared in recent years, including the Pico 4, few headsets can compete with Meta’s ever-growing library following acquisitions of the studios behind Beat Saber, Iron Man VR and the Resident Evil 4 port.

Insert yourself into a virtual world and interact with others in truly immersive games, experiences, and collaborative workspaces with the 128GB Meta Quest 2 Advanced All-in-One VR Headset. Improving over the original Quest, the Quest 2 provides higher resolution VR graphics and faster processing for an even more realistic experience. Access hundreds of Quest titles without the need of wires or an additional PC or console. Wireless freedom is joined by 3D positional audio, hand tracking, and intuitive remotes with haptic feedback to help increase the level of feeling as if you’re in another place. For more options, you can connect to a gaming-compatible PC with an optional cable and enjoy over 1000 titles with the additional Rift library.
